It is an amazing, relaxing experience that is unique to each person. Some people relax, some meditate, some get pain relief, some have heal and some just get clarity in their life. But it is good for everyones health.

You dont need to bring a thing. We provide everything you need for your session including towel, earplugs, slippers, water. However you can bring a brush, your own drink or swimming costume if you wish (although we recommend floating naked).

For your first or introductory float session, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This way we can answer any questions and show our intro video.

After this you can happily turn up 5 minutes early for your float session.

Please note: If you arrive late we may need to shorten or reschedule your session to avoid delays for the next customer!

There are no known negative side-effects of floating. But there are numerous scientifically proven benefits

No, the lighting is totally under your control. Although the float experience is better with darkness, you can just shut your eyes but leave the light in the pod on. The LED light inside the pod is automatically turned on for your session and there is a light switch in the pod which you decide whether to switch on or off.

Many people get stressed over what they should think about while floating. The answer is that it doesnt really matter Everyone is different and there are no rules. You can think whatever you like, and your float will still provide many physical and mental benefits. The first float is all about getting to know what it’s like when you’re left alone with yourself, how it feels to float on top of water and what kind of thoughts flood your mind that you may not have been aware of before. Each time you float it’s a new experience.

A tank is designed for one person to stretch out, but we have 2 seperate float rooms and can accommodate couples, friends, or any 2 people in a private room each. Check out couples floatation here.

It’s common to fall asleep for parts or sometimes all of your float and the water is so buoyant that you always stay afloat.

The worst that can happen is being woken by a little salt water in your eyes, though our non-drip tanks make this unlikely.

Yes! There are many unique benefits that helps relieve the pressure and tensions on the body during pregnancy, while also providing a deeper connection to your child. Many people compare being in the pod to being in the womb, and we also have a noodle and head rest/halo you can use for comfort if needed.

We recommend confirming with your doctor first however.

You want to make sure it’s been at least 30 days (or your tattoo has fully healed) before floating as the salt water can cause painful burning.

No, the floatation pod can be damaged and stained by spray tan or hair dye leaking into the water.Hair colour may stain and damage the floatation pods, and the salt water can also effect your hair colour.
As a general guide wait 7-10 days for permanent dye and 2-3 weeks for shades of red, purple, blue, green or pink. To check if its all OK, wait until the water runs clear and dye does not come off in the shower or when you towel dry it.
Then you can have a happy float, and happy hair! Please make sure that no dye or tan is coming out on the towel after showering. Usually you need 2 days after a spray tan before floating.

Different people have different preferences but we recommend 60 or 90 minutes for your first float. As you get more accustomed and more aware of the effects, you may find that 2 or 3 hours is better.

Claustrophobia is one of the most common initial concerns and people who struggle with it consistently report no problems with floating, as the lack of light in our spacious tanks (the largest available) gives more of an expansive feeling without any boundaries.

You also have the option to float with the lights on, lid open, or however you prefer — you’re in control of your float.

Yes, we simply recommend you follow the same protocol you would for a swimming pool.

People under the effects of drugs or alcohol, intoxicated, cannot float.

Your account will be disabled and you not be permitted to float and your session will be treated as a late cancellation with NO REFUNDS.

We have a  Zero tolerance on drugs for your own safety.

Some people have reported having hallucinations in the float tank. A 2015 study divided 46 people into two groups based on how prone they were to hallucinations. Researchers found that sensory deprivation induced similar experiences in both the high- and low-prone groups, and it increased the frequency of hallucinations in those in the high-prone group.

Contact lenses are best avoided in the pod. If salt water gets in your eyes during your float, contact lenses will make it more difficult to rinse the water out quickly. If you wear contacts please bring a case and store them while you enjoy your float.

Both times actually. … After stepping out of the float pod you have another quick rinsing shower that will remove any leftover Epsom salts accumulated during the float. Rinse your hair thoroughly as well as cleaning out left over salt water from your ears is recommended.

Each float session includes 60 minutes inside the floatation pod floating, with an additional 30 minutes allowed for showering/dressing/undressing. You should shower both before and after floating.

Please try to keep your showering brief to ensure we have enough time to clean up the room and get it ready for the next appointment. You can freshen up and take your time getting ready in our chill-out area where we have moisturizer, hair dryers and other amenities. Plus, feel free to keep relaxing for as long as you’d like with herbal teas and water.

We use 575 kg of Epsom salt in each floatation tank.

Our tanks are among the most hygienic systems available. The highly sterile salt water has 525KG of medical grade Epsom salts and is 100% filtered between floats through a 1 micron filter & ozone filter, as our tanks empty and refill for each float. A small amount of steriliser is added and the water is also sanitised with UV light. The water is not wasted, but returns clean enough to drink each time (except it’s very salty)!

Just bring yourself, we provide everything else including towels, earplugs, shampoo etc. You can bring a swimming costume if you want to float with them on or your favourite slippers or dressing gown if desired.

  • Epsom salt is a magnesium-rich mineral used for centuries to improve sleep, and reduce pain, cramping, headaches, and muscle ache. And there’s half a ton of it in each of our pods!

Epsom salt also makes dry skin feel soft and supple; and can remove impurities, toxins, oil and dirt from the skin. The magnesium in the Epsom salt is naturally antimicrobial and antibacterial, and therefore helps to improve skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and athlete’s foot.

The majority of people emerge from their float feeling refreshed and relaxed, with a clearer head. The benefits are different for everyone, so it’s best to be open-minded about what you’ll experience. Sometimes it can take a few floats to learn how to switch off fully – so stick with it if you felt like you could have relaxed more deeply.

It water gets in your eyes then it may sting a little due to the epsom salt in the water. Use the bottle to spray your eyes and flush out the salt.

We have a 24 hour cancellation process. If you have booked an appointment with us and need to reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours before your scheduled time to avoid an admin fee.

If you change your mind we offer a full refund or you can change your appointment date/time.

Adults 18 years and ober can float at our centre.

Under 18’s can float with an adult relative as guardian who waits with them.

You can’t float if:

  • You have open wounds
  • You had diarrhea in the past 14 days
  • You’re under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • You have recently dyed your hair or applied tanning products
  • You have infectious diseases
  • You have got a recent tattoo

Your hair will definately be getting wet, even a shower or swim cap will let some water in. And we do not reccomend a cap as it distracts from the pleasure of the floating.
